What else should I know as a high school student besides getting up early and going to bed early? You are absolutely wrong if you believe this! It’s not just about getting good grades in high school. Even though that’s a big and important part of it, high school is also a time to discover new things, get to know yourself better, learn new things, and meet new people every day. Even though high school can be very stressful, you get to take advantage of a lot of opportunities and make a lot of memorable memories. So, tell me, how can you have the best school year ever? Although it might not seem like much, following these suggestions will make it much simpler!

Validate your feelings because they matter: Do you know what I believe to be so harmful?” allowing teenagers to misinterpret their feelings and prevent them from freely expressing them. Since it can be quite challenging to strike a balance between various aspects of one’s life, such as family, friends, and personal time, stress is normal. So, by crying, let it all out! You won’t have a problem if you cry too much, but it’s okay to cry from time to time because it’s considered healthy. So let everything out! Holding your feelings inside for too long will only make things worse.

Be naturally and proudly you because you can: Nowadays, it’s critical for teenagers to recognize that this is probably where most of their best childhood memories will be created. Adults remember growing up and having to pretend to be someone they didn’t like or be in order to please others, which is so sad. Personally, I’d like to go back in time and remember how radiant, fun, and active I was! I wouldn’t want to think about terrible things like worrying about what other people thought of me or how they saw me. You won’t believe it when you find out that very few people notice the insecurities you see in yourself, trust me. When you believe that others are staring at you, not many people do. You won’t be judged much if you have bad grades! Our minds always come up with scenarios and overthink things, even though none of that actually happens. Because we are all imperfect in our own unique ways, and our imperfections complete our perfections, I advise you to go with the flow. In addition, no matter how much you alter yourself in order to please others, normal people will still be pleased and content with you. Therefore, it is preferable to remain who you are because, in either case, you won’t win over everyone.

Ensure that your upbringing reflects positively on you: It is the worst thing a high school student can do, but a lot of people think it is cool to disrespect people who are older than them in order to impress their friends or make fun of their teachers. Keep in mind that you should treat your classmates and other people the same way you want to be treated. Don’t treat your teachers poorly; if you want to be respected by them, you should treat them similarly. Teachers, in the end, are the ones who assist us in graduating from school and becoming better people in the future! Even though there is a big difference between harassing teachers for no reason and being harassed by teachers, you should try to talk about it with your parents or a supervisor rather than taking matters into your own hands if you feel threatened by a teacher or uncomfortable in any way.

You weirdo, get up and have some fun! In addition to school, you should absolutely find a fun activity outside of sitting at home and checking your phone. Try participating in school-sponsored extracurricular activities; You will then be able to use your time productively; You’ll meet a lot of new people and gain knowledge in areas you never thought you could master. Also, extracurricular activities are great for applying to any college or university. They give the impression that you actually have a life outside of school and are skilled in a few things other than studying.

Give yourself a treat, you lazy fool: To be honest, I didn’t have any time for myself or anything I wanted to do while taking AP classes. I would study, then do something else, then study, then do something else. The majority of my day would be spent studying, to the point where the only other activities I would engage in are sleeping or eating. Even if you don’t have time for that, you still need to take care of yourself. Try to do the basics if you can’t spend time on anything else or on masking. Take care of your hygiene and do the basics during the week, and take a day off on the weekends to really concentrate on yourself and stay away from anything school-related. You need to take care of yourself anyway, so taking such a break is essential so you can return to school looking and feeling your best. Therefore, you should not use school as an excuse not to take care of yourself; if you wanted to, you would devote at least five to thirty minutes of each day to self-care.

Be cautious about who you become friends with: I’ll be the first to admit that making friends was one of my biggest challenges. I wasn’t socially isolated in any way; I could make friends with anyone and everyone if I wanted to. I already know that; It’s just that I have trouble easily trusting other people. Some of the time that is viewed as something terrible, yet more often than not it’s great. In high school, be very careful who you choose to be friends with because they could be your friends one day and your enemies the next. Even if your schoolmates reveal your family’s secrets, you should not tell them. Take your time getting to know good people before becoming close to them. If you come across any toxic people in your life, you should get rid of them right away.

In conclusion, although school can be stressful, we are aware that it is a wonderful time to enjoy our final years as teenagers before becoming legal adults and engaging in “boring adult stuff.” So, take your time, don’t rush anything, be careful who you meet and how you talk to other people, take care of yourself and your grades, and enjoy some of the most interesting years of your life.
